Saudi chocolate consumption seems to have taken off in recent years and industrial production has already become well developed in the Middle East. In 2013, Saudi Arabia had a turnover in the billions. This development is very rapid; the level of production has doubled in only 5 years. The monarchy has now overtaken its neighbours in Iran (700 million) and UAE (400 million). According to the research firm Euromonitor, this growth is nowhere ready to stop, with a projected increase of 50% by 2018.
