Have your favourite Belgian chocolates delivered to Cyprus

Do you want to give family or friends living in Cyprus some gourmet chocolates? Your only worry is you won't be able to put them into their hands yourself. But that doesn't matter because your special chocolate brand, Planète Chocolat offers a delivery service to Cyprus. Whether your loved ones live in Nicosia, Limassol, Strovolos, Larnaca or Famagusta our team can ship your package to them.

A small consumer market

An island country positioned in the east of the Mediterranean Sea, Cyprus has a population of just over one million inhabitants. In addition to the limited market opportunities, chocolate is also a product that is not very widely used in local cuisine. With a rather hot climate, desserts tend to be based on thirst quenching fruit. When it comes to cakes, Cypriots opt for kolokoti, pastry stuffed with red pumpkin and raisins, or pastellaki, a bar containing sesame, honey syrup and peanuts. In short, chocolate is not really a central ingredient of local sweets. Except for a few, fairly expensive, eccentricities like chocolate with Turkish delight, bitter orange, Commandaria wine and Zivania.

Nicosia Chocolate Festival

Although the consumer market is very modest, for the last two years the capital, Nicosia, has been holding a chocolate festival in December. The last one featured shows, exhibitions by master chocolatiers, cooking lessons, entertainment and some contests. The profits of the event were donated to a local health centre.

Perhaps you would like to help some Cypriots get to know the elegant delights of Planète Chocolat? To do this, simply choose from our gift ideas, such as boxes of pralines, tablets of chocolate  or truffle assortments, and use our delivery service to Cyprus
