You can use our chocolate delivery service to Benin as well as to the rest of Africa.

Belgian Pralines

Benin, a small cocoa-producing country

Benin is part of the West African Economic and Monetary Union, which consists of eight member states. Out of those, three are cocoa bean-producing countries: the Ivory Coast, Togo and then Benin. Yet, comparatively, Benin's production of cocoa beans remains in an embryonic state. During the last decade, the country produced barely 100 tons of it, very far from the 1.4 million tons produced by its neighbor the Ivory coast, one of the world's leaders in production. In Benin, local producers are regroupés within the National Union of Cocoa Producers. This organization is made up of 1,300 groups of villagers, mostly located in the south of the country. Launched in 2003, the cultivation of cocoa trees, which covers 1,400 acres is spread out over around fifteen municipalities.

Spread happiness: give Belgian chocolate

Despite all this, the market for chocolate consumption in Benin is limited. It should be said that the hot and sunny climactic conditions don't encourage the enjoyment of chocolate, and make storing it difficult. Chocolate nevertheless remains a nice gift to give or to receive. If you love trufflespralines and other chocolate candies, don't hesitate to place an order with Planète Chocolat, a Belgian company specializing in the conception and artisanal fabrication of chocolate.

Whether you live in Cotonou, Abomey-CalaviPorto Novo, Parakou, Djougou or any other region, consider using our chocolate delivery service to Benin so you can overwhelm your taste buds with pleasure.
